Celebrity Poker Showdown is a celebrity game show on the cable network Bravo. It is a limited run series of celebrities playing poker, taped at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in front of a live studio audience. In each show, five celebrities play by the no limit Texas hold 'em rules, for a charity of their choice.
The first series was hosted by actor/comic Kevin Pollak, and each episode (except for the Championship Game) was an hour. The Championship telecast was two hours in length. Each succeeding series has been hosted by Dave Foley, and all episodes were two hours in length. Professional poker player Phil Gordon provides the color commentary throughout each series. The series is produced by Joshua Malina.
Although there have been many celebrities to appear in multiple tournaments, only three have won games in seperate tournaments. David Cross won in the first and third tournament; Dulé Hill won in the second and seventh; finally, Kevin Nealon won in the fourth and seventh.
First Tournament
Game Number Two featured a themed show featuring cast members from The West Wing.

The eighth tournament may feature a non-celebrity playing as a result of an online tournament. The online tournament ended in December 2005. According to posts on Bravo's online message board in January 2006, the winner had not yet played in the tournament. No taping or airdate information is available for the eighth event.
Post-Show Poker
Some of the celebs on this series have parlayed this into visits onto the World Poker Tour and/or the World Series of Poker. In 2005, Brad Garrett, Shannon Elizabeth and James Woods all participated in the WSOP's $10,000 Texas Hold-Em Main Event.
